And They Call Us Crazy!
In recent media reports, there is an interesting story on ABC News. March 26, 2012, “French Town Overrun…” In a small town, Bugarach, in southern France; there is an emerging problem. This small community has only hundreds of residents; but finds itself caught up in an influx of immigrants.
What is so special about that place, that an estimated crowd of over ten thousand have plans to give up all their earthly possessions, to undertake a one-way trip there?
Like many areas in Europe, there is a tourist attraction, a mountain. A mountain! But this is no ordinary peak. It has some interesting and even strange characteristics. Some even call it the French Roswell. It is full of many underground caverns.
There is much folklore surrounding it. Jules Verne was so mesmerized by it, that he wrote, “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”. Worshippers of this mountain believe that it has magical powers, that only a few other places on this planet share.
This is where many of them now are preparing themselves for the highly anticipated event this winter. There are steady processions of them streaming up and down the slopes to engage in their religious practices. Such dedication to a cause has not been seen since the days of the Yukon Gold Rush. What could be driving these wild-eyed fanatics?
Like anywhere, the locals don’t appreciate being over-run by these outsiders. The mayor is so concerned, that he has warned the French army to be on standby this December. What is going on there?
His town is being over-run by doomsday cultists. And they have wierd beliefs. They are congregating there December 21st, when the world is supposed to end. Their salvation is going to be effected by all the UFOs parked in the depths of that mountain, and take them to their Nirvana.
So what happens when their exodus doesn’t occur, and they are still here the next day? Now you are beginning to understand why the mayor is so concerned. People in these circumstances are not thinking or acting rationally. If they then follow through on the socio-pathic tendencies, there could be similar consequences as in Jonestown, Guyana.
Who are these religious fanatics, and why are they so steeped in deception?
Many of you may be saying, “those crazy Christians” are at it again. But wait. These are not Christians. They are New Agers. And there is a big difference. They have rejected the Son of God; Our Lord Jesus Christ. They worship another god. Well, what’s the difference, and why don’t they believe?
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-6 AV)
Now these deceived New Agers are not the only ones thinking that we are in the end-times. In fact, Our Lord Jesus Christ has warned us.
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:3-14 AV)
Deception is the major factor here. And it infects more than just unbelievers. How many prophecies have declared the imminent return of Our Lord Jesus Christ, with them going up in the pre-tribulation rapture? Well, I haven’t seen many pairs of empty shoes lately lying around; how about you? So, they have all been false. And don’t waste anymore time speculating when Our Lord will come back.
“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man , no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were , so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:32-39 AV)
Now the question is: are you ready for what’s after the end: the Judgement Seat of the Lord Jesus Christ? Everyone will have to give an account?
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12 AV)
If not; then now call on the Lord Jesus Christ, and confess your sins, and ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour. And for those who are saved; are you following the Great Commission.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:15-18 AV)
For those who are following the full Gospel of Salvation, Healing and Deliverance, deception is a major area that we have to deal with. And the moment that we think that we cannot be deceived; shows that we already are. So get delivered from it.
And when anyone says that you are crazy for being in deliverance; ask them when they are leaving for Bugarach.
